TV Series Personas Professions

There are three professions in the game:

Tactical
Science
Engineering


In terms of the game what professions where the characters in the series.

Kirk
Most likely would be a Tactical.

Picard
He is an interesting one. I would think of him as a philosopher mostly. Though he fits almost all the professions.

What about other characters?

I'm with you on Picard; I've always seen him as a superb diplomat, with some jack-of-all-trades thrown in.

Yeah, me neither, really. From what I watched, maybe Tactical? I'm sure someone who's seen more DS9 than me could say better, though.

sisko was captain of the defiant as well for a while..... given the main reason they made the defiant, i'd say he was tactical primary.

....Riker's been cloned for a long time... transporter accident, they tried to use wo beams to boost the signal and it backfired kinda, one beam was redirected to the planet while one was brought to the ship. if i remember, this happened before Riker was transfered to the enterprise.

This is where tech in trek becomes wonky. So people are dying on my ship. Why not just keep copies of them in the transporter and send them back into battle?

Which might convince me to play a science captain. Kirk and Sisko may be Tacticans, but I don't think that Picard and Janeway realy fit in one of the 3 classes.

yes, and they are of course not "the same" people the other ones died. I also wonder if you die every time you beam somewhere, and a clone of you lives on. Sometimes it sounds like it if they talk about this things.

But on the other side I also wonder why the security guards on the ships are always so lame. They should just use unbeatable holographic security people ;)

Before taking command of DS9, Sisko was based at Utopia Planitia where he helped design the Defiant (that's one of the reasons why he was given it), so I'd say he's more engineering.

Picard I'd suggest was probably more science. That's just how he seems to me.

Data's a bit more difficult, he's clearly skilled in the sciences but given his role as operations manager, gold uniform and all the time he spends in engineering helping Geordi, he could also be considered engineering (that's what I'm thinking of making my ops android).
