It honestly perplexes me to no end that we have the Constitution, and Miranda classes in the game, but no Ambassador, Nebula, or Excellsior. Do not get me wrong. I am a big proponent of the Constitution class, in fact, I have no problem with it being in the game. Refits in a time of crisis make sense. Also, the Miranda as a starter is a great idea, I could see a Lt. being given one to command.

However, how can they stretch to include the Constitution but not include three newer ships that are very popular with the fan base??? I am honestly extremely confused. Especially about the Nebula and Excellsior not being included.

Especially keeping in mind the Lakota refit of the Excellsior in DS9 which was only narrowly defeated by the Defiant during the failed coup d'etat during the Dominion War, why would they do this? The Nebula was in service the same time as the Galaxy, and it gets cut but the Constitution doesn't? Unless advanced refits of these ships are include in the tiers that we don't recognize yet (ala the Oslo refit of the Norway), disappointment will reign.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am VERY impressed wth the Tier/Configuration list. I am EXTREMELY excited for this game. However, this seems like a glaring oversight to me, which is going to leave some fans very disappointed without their favorite ships.

Ah thanks! I posted this as kind of a gut reaction before I started checking out the other posts on the issue :o But I appreciate the links. I suppose we have to wait and see on the other types of ships.
