I thought it was an automated procedural engine myself... but the way it's explained, it seems more like a set of very handy tools for them to quickly think up story scenarios and then throw them into the game. A level designer could use this Genesis system and perhaps churn out one scenario an hour with it, for a total of 8 per day (maybe?).

I had the exact same thought about the system as well, but I think you are on the right track. And they may even be able to make them faster than 1 an hour, depending on how many ideas a designer can plug in at a given time. :)

I read that a while ago. Man this is utter genious, there will be very little we can think of that we couldn't do. I am ver excited :)
