Lifetime Sub

wondered if anyone knows if there will be a lifetime subscription available as some MMOs offer.Cryptic should offer one now with a gurantee that purchasing a lifetime sub gets one into the closed beta.I would most likely buy one and it would bring serious cash into their coffers so they can hire more people and get the game done faster and with fewer bugs.just an idea,if it has been mentioned somewhere i am sorry but i did not see it mentioned before.

Considering there was one for Champions Online, it seems very likely. Though if CO is any indication we'll only find out about it a lot closer to launch, as in a month away.

Cryptic's recent release, Champions Online, had a lifetime subscription deal. The lifetime subscribers (as well as people who purchased six months of game time up front) got STO beta access, incidentally.

So STO will probably have that deal as well. But I don't see them offering it now. Yes, the game is shaping up to be truly awesome, but how many people would really spend a couple hundred dollars on a lifetime subscription to a game that's not even in beta yet?

We're always looking for ways to promote the game and encourage people to stay for the long haul. We were very happy with our lifetime subscription offer with Champs, but we haven't begun talking about billing options for STO yet.
