so just wondering since from what i can tell we can board other ships... what happens to our ship while we are boarding a enemy. say hypothetically i attack 2 ships and board 1 , does this mean the other ship has free range to blow the snot out of me while im preforming a boarding action, or is boarding a enemy ship only a scripted action that takes place during specific missions. if u can board any ship does this include players in pvp?

You personally don't board outside of Episodes, redshirt NPC security officers from your ship beam over (similarly, redshirt security repels boarders)

A shame but also functionally, the correct way to go.

It wouldn't be very realistic to let the captain roam around on the enemy ship.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if they are going to allow you to send some BOs over with a boarding party to lead your Red Shirts and possibly get some kind of bonus? For example, maybe send your best tactical officer and an engineer to increase your chances of sabatoging the enemy ship and reduce the amount of crew you lose because they have experienced leaders with them.

That would be very canon and practical I think.

and you know,in keeping with Star Trek tradition, the red shirts you send over to an enemy ship will all die, makes you wonder, why would anyone be a Red shirt.:D

It'll probably be like your marines in Klingon Academy where you have a number of marines depending on your ship, your scanners tell you how the other ships crew is and when their shield are down you beam them over and there's some kind of roll system. If the target ships crew equals Zero that ships starts fighting on your side.
