The Wormhole

Does anybody know if the Bajoran Wormhole (which leads to the Gamma Quadrant) will be in the game? If it is in the game, will it be usable or just an object?

We do not, but one would assume so.

DS9 is in so it probably will be. I think Cryptic has stated so too.

As to whether we can go to the Gamma Quadrant or not, we don't know. You're supposed to be able to "pick a direction and go" in the game but we'll see. I'd imagine you could at least go to a limited area of the Gamma Quadrant via the Bajoran Wormhole, but who knows?

Personally I would say the Bajoran Wormhole would be perfect for an expansion. So my guess is we won't be able to travel through it in the beginning.

I remember reading somewhere that wormholes will be used a mode of transportation to get you from one place to another so I image that the DS9 wormhole will be in use.

they posted someplace that the wormhole would be there, but it wouldnt be instant enter and exit, you would have to navigate it.

I seem to remember something about the devs having a battle in side 'The Wormhole', so more than likely it will be in there. (Please don't kill me if this is incorrect! I just recall that it was said, but it might have been awhile ago and might not make it to the launch.)

I remember either hearding or reading that you would be able to see what was inside the wormhole.

You're not wrong. I just looked it up (mainly because I was curious if I was wrong lol), and in the 'Everything we know about STO' under Other is this:

the Bajoran Wormhole was the subject of an afternoon's playtest at Cryptic some time back.

It tended to give people "motion sickness" IRL from the comments they made.

Personally I think the wormhole is a little underused. You almost never find a stable wormhole in any of the T.V. series. I think it would be interesting if there was a wormhole that took you to different random places, you know with only one fixed end. I think voyager ran into one of these. You could also possibly somehow enter in the time displacement/ time communication thing which Voyager also ran into.
