Is there a logbook or else for ships? Think it would be great, if there is something, that tells you something about the stuff, you made with your ship.

We're planning on creating a Captain's Log of sorts.

I would like to see a captain's log made up of multiple components. A combat area that keeps track of all engagements, damage done, taken, casualties, etc. A quest area that keeps track of when i accepted missions, when i completed them, which ones i've done, etc. Then finally a "notepad" type where I can add whatever little notes i'd like to attach to missions or engagements in the other 2 logs, or just in a seperate folder as well as the ability to write notes about specific players or ships I encounter.

Mine will include such interesting facts as:
Ate California Burrito
Caused Pile-Up at Starbase 1
AND
Mission Day 39: Still cannot find head aboard ship.

Heh. The good ol' missing bathrooms. The self-restraint of those Starfleet officers is astounding. :)
And I like AlwaysRemember's ideas about the log. It would be cool to see something like that. Eve has similar things (combat log, journal for missions, a notepad, etc) but they're not integrated.
And I, too, don't know the difference between a regular and California burrito. :(

3:35 PM - Explained California Burrito to newbs.
California Burrito: carne asada, french fries or potatoes, cheese, and typically any or all of these: sour cream/guacamole/salsa of some kind.
Now I'm hungry.

:D I lol'd. Good one.
And, now, thanks to Commander_Nate, I'm wanting one of those burritos...
Back on topic: yeah, something like AlwaysRemember said in the 4th post would be sweet.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the Captains log will be more like the Tome of Knowledge than sometlhing we write in ourselves.
Its always nice when a game is so innovative that certain of its innovations become near standard slystems in all MMOs that follow.
I am really hoping something in STO stands out like that.

That automatically makes them fail
Although... It sounds pretty good if you hold the sourcream...

It's not a real burrito unless it burns just as much going out as it does going in.

Would be an interesting way to blog for our captains. Open the ingame Captain's Log, type up your report, attach relevant stats about most recent engagement or scientific discovery, save with an option to go to a captain bio page on the website as a log entry readable by others.

Dirty mind! I was using naval jargon! Your idea is probably much easier to come by... ;)

Every California Burrito I've ever had does exactly that. Good hangover cure too.

LOL. Your entire thread is hilarious. California Burritos can have explosive side effects as well.
