Will we see battle damage on our ships after a fight ? like scorch marks and stuff in all the movies kirk always pulled into space dock with holes and stuff in his ship it would be cool if we could see it on ours after a fight

Well the first video from last year had 'flames' on nacels.

I hope they are able to follow through with this concept, but it also depends upon how the damage and repair system works. I mean if we are quickly repairing damage, they may not put much importance on damage graphics.

It would be pretty cool that our ship would look beat up after a battle, even if hull integrity was repaired. At least until we enter a starbase to give us a nice shipwash. It'll be cool to have that gritty look that Battlestar Galactica had.

I personally am hoping for visible damage on the ships, it adds a certain degree of 'coolness' to the gameplay. As well as its part of a high level of detail, which can sometimes mean that the game is of supeirior quality as im sure STO will be.

They stated they want to have visible damage as much as possible but some subsystems are deep inside the ship so you wont see it. But he did says that the nacelles for examample can be teared up very badly to the point of almost breaking off.

the devs have said there will be battle damage. Look through the ask cryptic's, you should find it in one of them.

I hope there are observation decks on the starbases so we can watch badly damaged ships limp into the main hangar. how sweet would that be?
