The website says there will be monthly contests for the community to win opportunities to get into beta. But it's been 3-4 months since we've seen any action on that end.

Just curious. Thanks :p

The people at Cryptic ran into some legal issues with their contests IIRC, and that's why the contest front has been quiet lately.

Ah  Hoping that gets sorted.

One of my favorite things in waiting for betas have been some of the contests that have come out for beta keys. Won one to get into LOTRO doing a screen shot edit, and got second place in an SWG one but didnt' get a key :(. Anyway, they're lots of fun while waiting, and I enjoy seeing the fan art and what not.

I suspect there will be other ways. It appears to be the delivery mechanism that is the trouble.

Stormshade doesn't like it when I talk about Fight Club, afterall it is one of the rules... but.

This is the contest, and they are watching.

It is the first rule! And you broke it again! I'm going to have to start charging for membership, it's the only way to keep this quiet it seems... :p

On a more serious note however...

You are aware that we give a beta key out every Wednesday morning at 11am Pacific Time in our Star Trek Trivia Contest in the chat room (http://www.coldfront.net/webchat/chat.php?channel=sto).

I mean you are aware? Right... :D

Stormshade

I will now run away and hide before the outcries that I'm talking about fight club start. :p

We're actually -7 right now, since GMT doesn't do summer time. We're eight hours behind London. Please plan accordingly :)

That is brand new information to me :D And I am a wealth of useless knowledge. Hopefully some of it has to do with Star Trek...... :p See ya Wednesday!

Are you kidding me? The trivia contests are STILL going on?

There hasn't been talk of that for months, even before the Player Contest Forum was deleted! Heck, there has been no updates with trivia winners on the front page.

Don't tell me you guys are playing unfair by keeping it quiet so only an inner circle get in?

Agreed. Poor form.
