Anyone seen anything from screens or whatever that show feline character features? I really want a K'zinti first officer on my bridge. They were a race in the animated series in an episode penned by Larry Niven and barrowed from his Ringworld series among others. I know TAS is not concidered cannon but I'd love to have it anyways.

While the Kzinti may not be hard canon, their sister race, the Caitians, are. One appeared in starfleet admiral garb in ST IV: The Voyage Home. So feline features in character creation would definitely be canon. :D

They originally said that you would not have a tail option. that was a really long time ago, so well see what happens once we get our hands on the system.

I would hope they would reconsider this. I can't see the concept of a mass of caitian amputees being all too popular with fans of the species.

When did they say this? As CO has had tails for as long as I have been in CO beta.

I've been thinking of Starting this thread for the past few days. I have a friend who wanted a Caitian Captain, and I want a Caitian Engineering Officer so I really really really hope they have Caitians at launch
