Probably check the character movement and see if they did a fast, serious walk (preferred), or the same old jogging everywhere like we're in a panicked hurry to find a bathroom.
Turn 360 degrees and take it all in for a few moments.
Write down my initial impressions in Notepad in keeping a beta journal.
Look for the first mission giver who is likely less than 10 feet away, or follow whatever instructions I received on log in.

I will work on getting my avatar and crew just how i want them to be,once ive set em once i will never change em.
Then i will poke around here and there looking for missions and the like, look at the graohics and see how i like them.
standerd answer.
But in an alternate reality once i see all the people gathering to attack the Klingons i will hop in my ship and get a few other people with me to form a gang and fly out in a low sector of Space trying to sneek into the inner Klingon colonies.
Once the fleet battle is in full throtle my gang and i will fly straight to a near by Colonie behind enemy lines and loot/steal whatever we can :p
hmmmmmm sounds like a movie i once sawl.....it's at the tip of my tounge.... :D

After doing the obvious (creating my character) and going through the initial tutorial, I will fly my Miranda class ship around for at least 30 minutes without doing anything else. Just to take it all in. Then I'm gonna see what's out there, and get very little sleep for the next few days.
I will also be keeping a blog updated as much as possible to document my journey through STO. Just as much for myself as anyone else. Who knows, maybe it'll get some regular readers.
