it has come to my understanding that you were not even supose to give a demo of the game at the meet and greet, i want to say thank you
why the markiting PR would not want to show the game if you are 6 month form launch i do not know but thank you for takeing that risk for us :D
this has provided lots of great new info looking forward to a full write up of the demo for thouse of up not able to attend
also a extended thanks to HF and members on the forum for sharing

Cryptic showed off the game.
Everyone says its amazing. Rolls and loop de loops NOT needed.
also, ship interiors are in game...and eventually customizable...
Well the fact that their PR didn't want them to do this is proof enough for me that they are not needed.

Wish I could've seen the game :( I'd love to see/know more about it. I think the devs are angry-pantsed about how the marketing people made the community kind of turn on each other with all that beta mess and wanted to seperate themselves from it and them.
Maybe? Either way it's cool they showed some of the game... Damn I just wish I could've been there >_<

You know that i think about it, the only reason why I can the PR people not wanting to show anything about STO, is they don't want champions to get over shadowed....

You know that i think about it, the only reason why I can the PR people not wanting to show anything about STO, is they don't want champions to get over shadowed....
That is my thoughts exactly watch soon as CO has been out for a month or two we will get are clsoed beta, you will see lots of advertisements and youtube uploads etc.

I'm hoping since its now common knowledge that a demo vid exists that Cryptic will see fit to post it on the front page in the next few days. I'm glad that Cryptic did what the fans wanted and not what their marketing guys wanted. +Kudos to Cryptic.

Ship interiors my word, the guys must have been pulling a lot of all nighters maybe to gat that done for a game demo for the meet and greet. Lucky indeed.
Hope they show it on they website soon as a new video.
Any mention on Console at all by any chance?

Marketing is just doing what Scotty always did. Saying it can't be done and then do it anyway. :D
Seriously though, I suspect what was shown were basic settings for on-ship away missions, which might just draw from a small staple of locations at first.

From what I've been reading, they're MISSION interiors (I think....but the 'eventually customizable' bit seems to suggest otherwise!). How customizable they'll be is unclear, at least as far as I've been able to find out, since that's a planned update for somewhere downnnnnn the line. Not at launch.

Videos and Photographs were disallowed due to the unfinished nature of the demo. It was more a 'special sneak peak', than released PR.
I think it was a nice gesture by the staff for the Q&A, and I can respect that it was something that was not and should not be presented publicly.

From what ive read its gonna be a mission thing at launch but later on it'll be players will be able to wander around there ship when not on mission
