With the track record of past MMOs I am waiting to be surprised at how great this game is. If I login and my first task is to go to sector 002 and destroy pirate ships to collect 25 computer cores and the cores drop about one in ten with 100 of us out there hunting for them I am going to cancel my account and regret having wasted the money to purchase the game.

Take this data pad to sector 002 find William Tell and give it to him for 50 reputation points and or your choice of equipment that is completely useless to you and or far below your current skill.

I'm guessing it will be somethint like this. Only because the first missions will be about learning the UI, ship controls, navigation etc. I hope The content will develop into something completely different as we dig deeper into it, but I'm not gonna freak if the first few missions are a suckfest.

Agreed. But it's ok that way. I don't want to be thrown in the middle of an epic battle where the first thing i hear is the sound of my tutorial-officer yellin at me "REROUTE THE DAMNED POWER TO SHIELDS!" while i'm still trying to figure out where the "fire" button is hiding ^^

Me too. I think 150-200 $ for a lifetime account like in CO would be affordable. But I was thinking of a more "personal" thank you ;-P
