I apologize in advance if the question's already been asked and answered (a search didn't help), but will the game be there next month in San Diego? I don't see Cryptic, Atari or even "Star Trek" on the exhibitors' list (http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_exhib_1.php)—maybe under Paramount Pictures? Seems with the Champions game and competition present (http://www.swtor.com/news/article/20090626_001), it'd be in their best interest to have something for the fans.

If they're not on the exhibitor's list then I doubt they'll make an appearance.
Maybe hold your breath for PAX in September?

Still, missing Comic-Con? The show with larger attendance than E3 and PAX combined? Cryptic's online activity puts them ahead of some (http://forums.stargateworlds.com/showthread.php?t=28915), but their PR needs to step it up in the real world.

Do computer game companies usually go to Comic-Con? ( I really don't know as I have never gone myself)

Here is what was said on the CO forums about it:
Unfortunately, no, we will not be at Comic Con. We are planning to be at Gen Con and PAX, though.
Wow. I would have thought for sure they would go to this.
Missing E3 and now comic con? Makes me a little nervous given Atarii's finances and recent actions. :(

They went to the NY Comic con with STO:

It does seem very odd for a company with what's essentially a comic book MMO (CO) to miss Comic-Con. Hard to imagine the costs are that enormous in return for some buzz about a game well into beta looking to release not all that long after the con.
Huh. Hmmmmm.

Well I guess if they are unwilling to show any content why should they ever leave their building? Sunlight burns ya know :p

Um, make that larger than E3 and PAX and Gen Con combined. :p

They do. And Hollywood has been using it as a venue for promoting some of their movies for a few years now.
It's a great place to do some free advertising to the target audience between 18 and 40, from all over the world.

They might not be there solely due to costs.

Comic-con has kind of evolved into a general nerd-con.

What about the cost of not being there? Two major competitors for both of Cryptic's upcoming games will, SWTOR and DCUO. Oh well, it's pointless to argue with less than a month to go (if ever).

I've been just a little worried ever since I heard the word Atari. I just don't have much confidence that they'll make the right money decisions.
Granted, they're still around, which is one positive mark in their favor, but they've made some serious errors in the past. I think I'd be more enthusiastic if SOE were to buy Cryptic... that's how scared I am of Atari. :)

And they really may not have anything to show off yet anyways.

I would hope that they have something to show off for Champions Online (A Superhero comic MMORPG). It was supposed to be released in July, and now in September.
