Okay so in that new interview they talked about the Bajoran Wormhole for a second and said that a player wouldn't just go through it, but that they could navigate it and that na episode takes place within the wormhole. This says to me that we will see the prophets and most likely Sisko, does anyone have any thoughts?

Hopefully Sisko will be doing the "it's peanut butter, jelly time" thing.

-------------

Yes, there's potential for Sisko to appear, but - and I ask this out of ignorance of DS9 - did the "prophets" ever reveal themselves to anyone but Sisko? I thought the beings existing in "non-linear time" really only made contact with Sisko. I thought that's why he was so special. Granted I've only seen the first season of the show and only know bits and pieces of the rest.

Im not really sure, but, since its a game and they said it would be an episode, odds are every player will be the second prophet. Kind of like how every player gets to do the mission to take on the "final boss" in MMOs even though the boss can only die once.

Now we know wh:Dere everyone will be heading at launch.

Well Sisko could speak on their behalf. Or players could have a mission to protect the worm hole etc. I don't think the worm hole 100% confirms even Sisko's presence in the game itself, though I think it's kind of expected.

If Bajor is joining the Federation, that would make it Federation space. That then places a Federation Starbase right there at the wormhole. Anyone think that it might be a bit difficult for Klingon players to get to it?

Course we have some distance yet to cover in the "Path to 2409" series, so that may shed some light on it.

True it would be very difficult for a Klingon to slip through, especially while cloaked.

But I seem to recall them revealing there is going to be various ways to get across the galaxy. So there's probably a back door that the Klingon players can use to get to the Gamma Quadrant without going through the Bajoran Wormhole.

I have mixed feelings about this news.

I like the additional content.

However, I also know I am locked to simply 'sailing' through the Wormhole, rather than 'rolling with it'. Again, I find it hard to believe that no one on the Cryptic team felt the desire to simply roll while traveling through the worm hole.

or the bajoran worm hole might be a "demilitarized zone"

No the "prophets" spoke with a very small number of people, including Quark and the Grand Nagus. Though if I remember correctly it was pretty random who they'd be willing to talk to. Seems like Sisko was the only one that could get them consistently.

Let them go the long way! It's our wormhole! *grumble*
