I just wanted to say how glad I am that the devs and moderators decided to immerse us fans of STO even before the game is released. I always look forward to reading Path to 2409, and the dev tracker. I am also glad that the team decided to implement the new Star Trek movie into the game, with Nero being a dangerous threat and Romulus being destroyed. I am also glad that the alternate timelines were addressed so as to not screw up the story and history of the Star Trek Universe.
It is great that there is a team of developers out there that post Dev Trackers regularly and fill in supplemental story information so that the fans of the game are informed and immersed. I am always excited to read the site and can't wait to see what comes next. If the ongoing progress and future development of this game is as immersive as everything leading up to its release, I think we will all be in for a treat while playing STO.

Seconded, that is one of the reasons why I'm on this forum (I don't usually bother with these things!) but the involvement of the Devs in this forum and the massive backstory involving STO is making this game seem so much more real and Trekky like!

Haha I just noticed you live in the same city as I do. :D
I enjoy the STO site for the same reasons. I'm enjoying the universe they are expanding upon.

I agree. It is fun following STO before its release, because of both the backstory storyline and the dev involvement. I really do feel immerse in STO before even its release. I hope the game ups that experience.
