I read that the Federation from the 98th Century will be able to come back and help when we get into sticky situations. This is good.
What I would like to do is the following;
Fire first, worry about consequences later
I would like to fly a ship with 8 nacelles that splits in some kind of terta-vector assault mode, can I do that?
Yes, each nacelle would actually be an independent starship
So they could also manuever and connect to one and other, while the primary hull transformed into a starbase
Then you could have an 8 hulled starship that could go to warp 21 because it also has 8 nacelles.
My ship would have 66 transphasic torpedoes each torpedo would have its own warp drive, and cloak
So 66 transphasic, warp capable, cloaking torpedo launchers, I would also have my hull painted in lightening blue with 88 phaser banks, type XIII
To balance my ship I could only use 44 of the 88 phasers at once, and 33 of the 66 transphasic, warp capable, cloaking torpedoes. I would be able to fire while cloaked and have regenerative ablative hull armor.
I think the federation would improve by assimilating new races more aggressively, I think humans should get the dominon and the borg to join, then embark on aggressive expansionism. It would take what, 6 months to take over and control the whole milky way thanks to subspace transphasic intergalactic sodium wave warp, Then STO could be able invading new galaxies,

Yes if Picarde was allowed to time travel through time and avert the brog invasion of cochranes time I see no reason why the federation, (though language has evolved and they are now called the le Fed'er'ation) of the 98th century couldnt come back with much more advanced ultra transphasic slipstream cloaking warp capable subspace torpedoes to help us. I mean picarde was allowed to travel and save the earth so what is stopping them? dont say temporal prime directive. if picarde was allow to travel back then so would they. ok? Great, look forward to seeing this in game.

One thing I've thought about is that by 2409, producing new Soong-type androids should be a breeze; at last, we can realize the dream of "a Data on every bridge"!
It's also very important that before allowing the Borg collective to join the Federation, we demand that they make all of their drones fully-fledged individuals, so that they're basically just super-powered humanoids; I want to be able to have a pleasant discussion about art with my Borg officers!
By the way, I've been looking for a source confirming that we can play spaceborne creatures such as giant space serpents, giant space jellyfish and maybe like some sort of lizard that lives at the center of stars of a particular sort and can kind of like climb out and then it can fly around like a pterodactyl at superluminal speeds, but I can't find anything to confirm that. I really hope this feature will be in, because it wouldn't be "complete customization" without it :(

I heartily approve of both these posts and also look forward to seeing this stuff in-game.
Well done Sir!

Why should the Federation, such as Picarde, be allowed to force a whole race to change? if the borg want a collective conscious why should that be stopping them becoming members? the federation would be strong with them.
I was thinking in my ship I will install photon torpedo launchers in the shuttle bay as this would be a surprise to invaders. I'm also sick of seeing boarding parties like two ferengi take over an entire starship with no resistance and as I dont plan on carrying children to combat them like in TNG i will install retractable phaser banks or turrets in every corridor as well as mirrors on every wall so no one can hide. Tactics, right. How customisable are ships, I will be able to do that?
I want to paint camouflage on the outside in orange actually so I can hide in a sun, and maybe combat the lizards you talke about HurdD at the centre of stars but I would need to install a special weapon on the secondary hull to deal with them, sometime tactile.

The word is that by the 36th century both the Q and Organians have joined the Federation, and have commenced intergalactic exploration.

Oh that is good to know I hadnt read that one yet thanks- it makes logical sense to see the Q in the federation given it was them who actually went back in time and caused it to be created as per the Entperise episode 'Broken Bow'. I think the Q could have an internal struggle with the newly added borg that would make for some really interesting missions in the STO as well, like we could travel to the Q subspace continuum and pretend to be in the civil war again.

Did anyone think it was odd that in the episode that you referenced that the rebel Q were represented as being on the Union side?:)
