hey, im not sure if anyone noticed, but we found out when the Klingon-Federation relationship REALLY goes bad, 2399. According to the timeline they posted on the star trek XI thing, the Federation-Klingon peace treaty is dissolved in 2399.

cool huh?

- sorry if this has been brought up already

Well if they do a 10 day early release for those who preordered the game. I will have taken out the remaining federation by the time you log on. I will save the sea animals for you to destroy but the humans will have already been destroyed! Maybe I will save the detroit lions for you too, they arent worthy of needing to recharge phaser banks.

As long as my BoP has the ability to go back in time and fight some of those crazy whales, I'll be good :p

I'm looking forward to such time when the "Path to 2309" fiction is released. We can finally understand the context of the game much more.

I would definately read any fiction that comes out to help me get a full background to the game.

I wouldn't get too excited. Just because the treaty disolves doesn't mean there is open war yet.

If Jake was in danger while in Klingon territory interviewing Worf in 2388, the treaty dissolving 11 years later would most likely indicate a closing of borders and high tension. Another 10 years later I'd pretty much guarantee that if a peace wasn't reached, a state of cold war exists.

All out war and freely crossing the neutral zone would set the stage for open PvP...something Cryptic has already said won't happen. So, for the sake of argument, I'll go with the notion that a state of cold war exists between the Feds and the Klingons.

So long and thanks for all the fish?

I love the fact that the Klingons are delusional to the point where they would take out the Federation. Lets make one thing clear here if the Federation ever trully went on an all out offensive in the way that Klingons do, your race would be dead in a matter of weeks if that, seriously they could have effectively removed the shape shifters from existence, the fact of the matter is their morality always holds them back.

The events chronicled in the episode Yesterday's Enterprise would tend to refute your claim.

Then again we are talking about the Klingons.

It was the first thing I saw too. I don't think there will be full war, and by the time we get full war it'll be time to buddy up to defeat the new threat.
