Ok let me explain.
Blue squares are federation space
Red squared are klingon space
White is unclaimed
Green is nutrel
Each square is a sector
Each sector requiers a combination of either destroeyd enemy ships or missions compleated to claim it for your faction.
Only sectors connected to a sector claimed by your faction can be claimed,
Sectors your faction claimes can have weps platforms and space staions deployed
the closer you get to the oppsing factions homeworld the harder it is to turn the sector to your faction.
The closer the mission is to the enemys border the more of a reward you get,
Missions compleated in your claimed area or in uncharted areas give your faction more rescourses to play with.
If by some chance the home planet is taken, after a duration of 24 hours the faction occuping the enemys home world gains a some recignition < a title or somthing to add a cosmetic to there ship/char.
After the 24 hours a huge offensive of ships rallies together <mostly AI> to push the invaders back and the map is basicaly reset, either that or Q comes along and says sommin like, "I like this game lets have another good job *winner*" snaps his fingers and resets the fed/klink and nutrel zones, or whatever.
The basic idea is, the PvPers that like to pvp can do it, the PVE'er can go to "safe" space and help out that way and if they want to pvp they can.
Also with all the stations and platforms everywhere it will be very hard to gank someone in the oppsing factions space.
This way the war can evolve.
This is similer to the way it was on dynavers in Starfleet command 3 and it was realy enjoyable evan my gf liked it and she hates PvP.
yes the concept is stolen from warhammer online, but tbh I belive this would make it very fun, and homeworld capture <if done right> might happen once every 3-6 monthes because of how big space actualy is lol.
Thoughts ??
