BEFORE YOU REPLY TO THIS COMMENT - I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS.

Okay, I am talking about additional window set up for those who run on multiple screens. I would like to either have such sections of the game command windows set up and away from the main viewing. Such as all tactical on one monitor and all player stuff on the other, while still enjoying game play in the middle.
I could write more on this, but I think you got the idea. I hope they will all such an option. Maybe even allow camera shots viewing on one, or even whats going on inside the bridge while the other screen is on birds eye view of your ship.

I would think having 2 views of what's going on might give you an unfair advantage against those that don't have that luxury. However it would be nice if you'd be able to, say, move some menus or buttons to another screen to keep your main screen from cluttering.

How? Be specific.
Personally, I've never seen the need, in any game, to have a multiple monitor setup. But multiple monitors are supported in the OS...

I'd love to have dual monitor support. Hell, I can't even think what it would be like to be limited to one monitor in Photoshop or InDesign any more.
Would be great to have main functions/UI on the primary screen, while anything else like meters, status bars/graphs and secondary functions not necessarily needed to be "quick launch-in combat-type" stuff.

Hence, the reason for throwing the idea out there. :)
I think it would be a nice option to have at your disposal.

Not a need, per se, more of a convenience or just neat feature. I also think that multiple (or at least dual) monitors are fairly widespread these days. Heck, my son (who is 11) knows how to set up his laptop using a secondary monitor. If he can do it, anybody can.

Here made a post on another thread like this:
Ya… I was trying to find some free software on how to do it, but couldn’t find any free stuff :/
Any way I did find this (http://lifehacker.com/software/geek-to-live/make-the-most-of-your-dual-monitors-317479.php) on lifehacker explaining some parts of it and you can buy software from here (http://www.cinemassivedisplays.com/multi-monitor-software.php) to do multi-monitor.
But this proves my point even if Cryptic doesn’t included it you can always do it with some extra software.

I didn't say I didn't know how to do it. I said I've never seen the need. And they are not "widespread". That would indicate that many people have that setup...they don't. CRT monitors are more widespread than dual monitor setups.

This would provide for some immersion would it not?
Your view screen on one display and systems on another?

Would be nice to have 2 views, the 3rd person one and the 1st person one in a corner. Those with 2 screens could have both large or something.
I don't think Star Trek really is Star Trek without space warfare in bridge view.

I didn't say that you didn't know how, just mentioning that it's "widespread" enough that even my 11 year old son uses multiple monitors regularly.
There are 4 machines in my house that use dual monitors, I know for a fact that at least half of the machines where I worked were dual monitor rigs, I've seen dual monitor setups many times... so, based on my personal experience, instead of some ambiguous unknown statistic, I'd say that based on the sheer number of dual monitor setups that I've seen, it's fair to say that they are, in fact, fairly widespread.
Not everywhere, not non-existent, not in 57.37% of the households in North America... merely "more than a few", and less than "everywhere". I despise generalizations, especially those that can't be backed up by any facts. -- Which is most of them.
In fact, many GPUs that can handle any newer games do in fact, come with dual monitor output. So I'd have to disagree anyway. And where does this "more CRT monitors" statistic come from? Remember that 95.7% of all statistics are completely made up... (And why couldn't someone use multiple CRT monitors? Desk space? They make adapters to switch from a DVI to VGA output. --
Many, by the way, also does not mean "all" or "everywhere", just a "bunch"...
And why shouldn't Cryptic include a feature that while not necessary to play the game, would be a nice thing to have?
I don't *need* a GPS or even a radio in my car, but they're both pretty nice to have.
