Yes it does, I posted this when the article was released in the middle of May (and it is an estimate, but a very good one).
The search function must be broken again...

should try to search the forums some, there is already like 20 threads on the release date. Until you see it on startrekonline.com there is no release date.

Just buildin up hype cos theres alot of us excited about the game and when it will be released.
No need to be a killjoy!
If you are as fed up with the release date speculation then maybe you should avoid threads that mention "release date"
Then we are all happy :)

I certainly don't want to flame anyone, but we need a stickie about this, I, for one, am frankly getting very irritated by people constantly speculating on the release date, they're all speculative, Devs have said that the release date will be released on here first, I really wanna read posts that are about the actual game content and speculate on that, not when the game will be released.
It will be released when it's ready and the Dev's are ready not before, patience is a virtue! :)

It's pretty irritating listening to replies like that to be honest.
Read something else if the release date doesn't interest you.

I second this, if anything we only need one thread at the most and the answer is pretty much out there if anyone wants to know, find the search button, type and hit enter. At the same time, we aren't helping by responding to these threads, I blame myself completely and apologise for feeding the threads and trolls (no, not saying that you are a troll, just troll feeding in general).

Please don't take it personally. It's just that a thread relating to that article or Gamestop's preorder date seems to pop up every hour.
I think it's safe to say we are all very interested in learning of the official release date, though :)

I second this: you are trolls :p
We're meant to discuss things like this and like i keep preaching its to help with the hype and excitement about the release of the game.
I don't think there is any need to belittle threads that people make. (thanks for that by the way)
Just don't leave a response and within a few days the thread will disappear to page 146 of the forums.
That way i get to leave a post, some people might be interested in it. if not, never mind, it will soon be forgotten.
Everyone is happy.

It's got nothing to do with the release date being interesting because I can assure you that everybody here will be interested when it is announced.
It's the constant cluttering of the forums with new posts linking to the same articles that someone else already has posted about or someone saying "Hey look ... GameStop or some other online retailer had a date ... blah blah blah" that is getting people irritated.
They should make a sticky thread simply called "Release date speculating" with the initial post of something like "From Cryptic Management: At this time there is no official release date for STO. Feel free to speculate about it to your heart's content but please keep all posting about it confined to this thread."
Or something like that. Then the mods can either merge or delete othre threads started about it.
But honest question ... you needed to start a new thread with this vs. just adding your information to an existing thread?

and the article doesnt mention gamestops pre release date
Nice to know you actually read before you "flame"
I think this post is pretty up to date as it is centred around E3 and i guess none of you have taken the time to glimpse at it?
See you all on release date PRE APRIL 2010 yeeeeeey!:D

It's not a flame. Most of us on these forums prefer one post per topic is all, and lately there are several "release date" threads started every day. It's getting old . .

Ethough it's the thingy with release of awesome games they come out on X-Mess.
Cryptic has allways said that STO will be out after Champions Online.

OK lets put an end to it
I put up a new thread because i found a NEW article at gameSPOT not gamestop (similar i know) and it wasn't read properly that's all.
now what i had to show everyone has lost all relevance because we are ranting at each other.
If you are interested take a look at the article.
That is all i wanted :o

Actually I read your article. And while there maybe some interesting e3 stuff to people (though if it's not STO then it belongs in the General section) the STO information in the article you linked is not new.
Also, perhaps you who can't read closely.
There's an "OR" in there as in people are linking to articles/information others have already done so in other threads
OR
They're pointing to release dates at online retailers like GameStop
The article you linked to ...
Further out, Atari expects to launch Cryptic's other MMOG, Star Trek Online, during its current fiscal year ending March 31, 2010
