Dream Bridge Crew

From looking at the character creator video, you can alter every aspect of your character's faces.

So....

Will anyone be using their artistic skills in creating your characters so that they resemble characters from the series?

And if so....

Tell me your Dream Bridge Crew.

Mine would be Captain Picard, First Officer Anneka Hanson, Science Officer Data/B4, Doctor Katherine Pulaski (controvercial?), Chief Engineer Scotty, Head of Security Shran (ha ha ha), and Helm Officer Ro Laren.

Sounds like a good Motley Crew to me.

I don't know about recreating/making avatars of folks, but if I had my choice of a dream crew...

Hands down, Capt. James T. Kirk, Science Officer Mr. Spock, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Leonard McCoy, Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott.....well, you get the picture. The originals - - not the wet behind the ears newbies. :p

Best crew Starfleet had.....EVER!

(Though Capt. Christopher Pike is a very close second to Kirk).

Yeah, I'm doing a 100% new crew, too. Still trying to figure out who I want, though, heh. It's ****** hard thinking up a good "cast" of characters to be my senior officers. I know who I want for my captain, security chief, and head doctor, but that's it. Darned if I can figure out the rest. :p

I am going to have my bridge crew named and modeled after the cast of Friends. Of course the captain will be Joey though, he rocks.

Actually havent given too much thought as to how I will name my bridge crew and how they will look. Hopefully you can just take a generic name/skin and alter them as you play the game. I would probably spend too much time making them all look the way I wanted then trying to figure out a name for them. It would take me a week before I actually started playing hehe.

Maybe I will name my crew after pornstars :p

I will definitely want a 100% original bridge crew myself. I can only wonder how many bald, aging, pseudo-French/English captains I'll meet with a name something like "Picard."

My captain will, of course, be based on my Andorian fixation, but I want him to have a really diverse crew with lots of alien representatives. I know I'll want a Vulcan in there somewhere... maybe a couple of other established Trek races as well, but I'm not sure on that yet.

For the other bridge crew members, I had an idea about wanting to base them on some of my best friends. But rather than making humans that look like them, I would personify their physical and personal characteristics into original alien races using the alien creator. This way, I won't just have a bunch of humans on my crew.

The Federation is represented by a wide range of alien species, and I think Starfleet (and thus, any Starfleet vessel), should represent that. I've always felt that Starfleet (in the series and movies) was always too human-centric. Of course, budget and time limitations on the shows explains this trend, but there will be no such restrictions in a virtual galaxy. On my ship, humans will be the minority if they're represented at all, and racial diversity will be my M.O.

If I have the opportunity to make an alt in the Klingon Empire (and if I can, I will), I would like to play as and mostly fill out my crew with Gorn, since they're one of my other favorite species. I think single species crews would make more sense for this faction anyway, as the represented races (Klingon, Gorn, Orion) are all rather... volatile. I may also throw in one or two"slave" species, however, probably menacing looking beasts of my own creation that will complement the Gorn flavor well.

I might model my bridge crew after my friends in real life. My first officer will be my girlfriend, tactical officer will be my friend Poe, science officer will be my friend Ian, and chief engineer will be my friend Austin.

Yeah, if i can, i'd be making an a new crew myself, 100 percent new crew. Perhaps a few different races involved as well, a healthy mix at least. not a bunch of humans and one vulcan.

I am having my Bridge Officers based off the crew of The Crimson Binome from an old show called ReBoot. If I am unable to come up with my own characters, I'll just use them as refrences.

I'm hoping to create a really detailed bridge crew with whom i can immerse myself with and feel part of the team. Apart from me the Captain, i haven't given them much thought. I'll probably take Voyager's bridge crew as an inspirational starting point, they were my favs, and develop from there.

For some reason, although i'll have some alien races, i think i want the majority of my crew to be humans. I just like uniformity. I think i'll mix genders though and perhaps have a couple of vulcans/bajorians thrown in for good measure....

Maybe i'll have a female first officer.....add a bit of spice to the command structure...

Well for my Klingon captain it will have to be purely Klingon operated.. real war-like :D


On the federation side, I will be a human hybrid or a human, so will have a crew of mostly humans with a few other races mixed in. No Ferrangi.

I'll probably go with as diverse a mix of races as possible. I think they each will have their advantages. Klingons are probably really good at close combat. Vulcans are really good at science. Gorn are really good at walking slowly. Humans are really good at getting all emo. Andorians are really good at getting angry. Orion green girls are really good at looking really good. That sort of thing.
