Game-Intro Voice-Over.

I know this has most likely been brought up before but I only just saw the new film last night and in the final scene with the iconic "space... the final frontier" speech - Mr. Nimoy's voice-over was a brilliant passing of the torch into a new future for Star Trek.

You guys simply must replace the generic voice-over with Leonard's Iconic one for the introduction to the MMO. After all... It's only logical. ;)

I think it's kind of mean they didn't let Shatner do the voice over in the movie. He always did it in the show and he didn't even get a part in the movie.

I'd love to see Shatner do the "space... the final frontier" intro for STO. To me he will always be THE captain of the USS Enterprise.

Patrick Steward would be quite nice as well. Lennard Nimoy would probably be the best though. Maybe they could have the launching of different ships with all 3 of them, on seperate trailers for the game, Shatner speaks as a Excelsior launches, Patrick Stewart, a Galaxy or Sovereign, and Nimoy well he can fit just about any, lol, but more likely a classic ship.

Could have an opening for the Klingon to with one of the famous Klingon actors, maybe Worf, MArtok, General Chang from ST6. Change what they say, maybe something else, I think I read that some book had an equivalent messege the Klingon captain said?

I've had my fingers crossed for Nimoy ever since he was in on introducing the game. A Shatner voice-over would be cool, but Nimoy, at least to me, embodies Star Trek and its spirit moreso than Shatner.

Which reminds me, Shatner doing Warcraft ads... he HAS to do STO ads :D

Don't beat me up for this but I really liked the Final Frontier from one of the last episodes of Enterprise were they had both Picard, Kirk and Archer. That was a nice "passing of the torch" touch. Maybe they can cut Archer out and add Nimoy?

Eh, I'd rather have Picard do it. I'm partial though, he's my favorite Captain.

They would be foolish not to get all of them to do at least a small bit for a commercial or some dialogue in the game. I'd even tolerate George Takei if he'd promise not to laugh like he does on Howard Stern.

One of the best openings of all time was Patrick Stewart in the opening of Star Trek Armada 2. Being that this game is set more in the era of Picard I'd vote more for him doing the opening bit. Especially since Spock is off in an alternate time-line now.

Either way any canon character dramatically contributing to the iconic lines would send shivers down any true fans spine.

Yeah, we do need an iconic voice. The guy in the trailer just doesn't have a distinctive voice that says "Star Trek".

But out of all the Voices, I have to go with Mr. Shatner or Mr. Nimoy, but Patrick Stewart's another good choice.

I'd give up Stewart on the opening if they let had him do all of his characters in-game voice-over. In which case then I'd have to agree with you on Shat or Nimoy.

It would be nice to have someone from the Star Trek cast to do the voice over. When I watched the game trailer the only thing I was disappointed about was the voice over. It just didn’t give it that extra kick an original cast member could have.

I think having Shatner do it would go over HUGE in marketing and go a long way in pulling in Trekkers that are on the fence right now.
