Does anybody know if any of the characters from the original series will be included in the game? Will they be quest related? I hope so. That would be pretty cool. I am an Original Series guy myself :cool:

Most likely not. While it's possible that a mission to the TOS past is possible, it's unlikely it'll involve the Enterprise crew.

Scotty could be in there....but he'd be ancient so he's likely dead.

Spock is gone.

Kirk is dead.

McCoy is dead.

Sulu....idk, likely dead.

Uhura and Chekov MIGHT be alive though?

They hinted at time travel missions, so I'd be surprised if you didn't get to see them somewhere, even if only briefly.

You may encounter them in time travel episodes. If I were a betting man, I would bet that yes you will see some of them in game.

They'd be too old for some proper adventure, wouldn't they? Might be nice to just talk to them, though. The ones that are alive that is, unless you want to break open the Necronomicon.

As the others have said, they're most likely all dead. Scotty, might just about be alive but only if he pulled a McCoy and lived to 130 odd. Spock would have most likely been alive but he's "gone" so really your only hope is time travel and/or holodeck simulations.

Checkov would still be alive. He was still pretty young in the original series. He might be a hundred and something, but im pretty sure he will be around somewhere.

Uhura and Sulu will probably be dead....but who knows. They could be hanging around on earth still. I want to see Scotty come back rejuvenated by something he found out there, and i honestly don't think we have seen the last of Spock or Kirk, i really don't. The way Kirk went out in generations was just lame, and i would love to see him come back like he did in the novels.

However, im expecting the guardian of forever to be a raid instance of some sort, so im betting you will be able to visit the past and see them in their prime. I'm also expecting to see various enterprise crew members around the galaxy, DS9, probably even the Sisco. As weird as the ending to that series was it was kinda cool on some level.


what im really hoping though is that they create a new crew and a new series that becomes legendary in their own right.

Lol the only novels that Kirk came back in, where ones written by Shatner. All other novels, work off of eachother so they work nocely. Except ones written by Shatner. Thats why its called the "Shatnerverse"

Yea thats what i said, not sure what your point is.

And i highly doubt Shatner ever wrote a single word. Look at the books again, they list a couple other authors too. he just put his name on them. Ether way they were actually really good books. Great stories, whether they contradict anything or not is completely immaterial. They were good.

Well, with the success of the new film just out, I would imagine we will see more TNU 'time travel' episodes than TOS episodes in Star Trek Online.

To go to the alternate universe, it would not be time travel, but dimensional travel.

I owuld expect them to reappear on the holodeck on in some time travel instance. Lets face it they HAVE to be in the game somewhere and it would be something to play for.

I guess us TOS fans can just cross our fingers.

I would be a little surprised if the TOS crewmembers didn't appear in one form or other (either hologram or time travel would make the most sense). I doubt we will see them anywhere in the current timeline of the game as living characters, but as was stated earlier, anything is possible.

Scotty would be dead, unless he did the transporter trick again :o lol that wold be a funny mission :D. Spock should still be around right? I mean this game takes place before he gets sucked into the black hole?
Everyone else is dead. Other then time travel we wont see them.

Checkov was the youngest of TOS crew born in 2245 (per memory-alpha) making him 164 y/o when the game launches..... so it highly unlikely he will be around. Spock, while able to be alive, is as we all know by now trapped in an alternate reality. Scotty, although he was pretty old by the time jordie and Enterprise-D found him in the transporter, he could possibly still be alive. Having his body regenerated by the transporter for many years he would be physically younger than his chronological age.
