They have made a guess in order to beat out there competition and thats all.

To pre-order now means nothing, except that you have agreed to pay Gamestop
for your copy of STO.

yeah ive said it before but, i used to be big on the preorders but would always have to like a month away cancel a regular edition to order the collectors

this time i'm waiting for collectors before clicking the order button, just saves a lot of hassle

After the garbage that some MMOs are im very hesitant to preorder any other MMOs. Allthough i do like special editions to add to my collection of other random boxes, as such i may be FORCED to preorder.

Preorders are just a terrible marketing ploy anyway.

Not only are you making sure you can get the game without having to run all over the place, you are also helping the store make sure they have enough copies.

You should have gotten in an OCCFLD that is considered a 'strategic asset'.....that way you can only be deployed 6 months at a time with a minimum of 6 month turnaround. You're Army, so that's pretty much Airborne. I dunno about the AF or Navy, but the same was true for my unit in the Corps.

I agree. I hope that they do what Blizzard has do with W.O.W. I like the fact that it take a while to learn each class.

I am not a big fan of 2D automated level grinding so no, I am not pumped

STO reminds me of Matrix online, in that an open ended action universe was put to sleep using combat rolls and grinding for loot.
In my view, the WoW 2D model was always flawed and still is -

Add to that they are doing STO as a fusion between EvE online and starfleet command AND knowing that won't be any interiors = /
