Cherons are an interesting race,and I'd like to see them in STO,even though its unlikely they will be.(Not to mention they are likely extinct)

Not necessarily, from what I have read the custom content creator will allow us to give "traits" to species we create i.e. psionic powers. So if yu get creative enough you might just be able to create what ever species you want.

I'v also noticed a lot of your threads involve what species will be in game so hears what we know so far

Federation playable races include:
Humans, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, Bajorans and Ferengi

Klingon playable races include:
Klingons, Orions, Gorn and Nausicaans

Anything else you will have to wait for or make it yourself. Hope this answers most of your questions:D
