Cardassian?

id like to play Cardassian but couldn't find anything on it in the search

While it will be possible to play as a Cardassian (a member of the race was even scene in the character video) they won't have a separate faction. At least,not at launch.

Technically we don't even know if we'll officially be able to play as one, i.e click on species and choose Cardassian.

What we do know is that with the character creator we will be able to make a species that looks exactly like a Cardassian and is even called one by us (and possibly other elements of the game). In either Faction.

I think the Cardassians are their own faction, not part of the Klingon Empire.

it was said in an early video interview that the first expansion 'may' be romulan and cardassion,

So you 'may' get your wish but it may be with the first Game expansion with the two new races.

However a lot can change from now and its release so we can never really know :O):D
