this is something i thought everyone one here would like. a real trek like keyboard....but it won't let you fly a ship till the game comes out.:D

witch kind of gets me to my point. will sto have products made for comps that we can get online...like mouse pads, key board covers....phone covers maybe.....kind of strange but hey....it is star trek.

Dude, that's been in concept for the last 5 years.
It's not coming out anytime soon.

I think a keyboard like that would be pretty nice, wouldn't have to worry about things falling underneath the keys and gumming it up.

The only things i can think of are maybe a STO version of this:

(call it a holo keyboard? yeah, even that's a bit of a stretch)

Or more practically something like this:

zboards are customized for specific games, they have them for a lot of games. I imagine they'll want to do it for STO as well.

I notice this one is much cooler than the currently released one. How hard would it be to make, really?

I go through key boards like toilet paper. I always spill wine on them. Keys get sticky.

It looks awesome, but it must be very difficult to produce within those visual specs, as it seems to have been "Prototype" for over 5 years...

You may want to consider one of these (http://www.lonestarkeyboards.com/products.asp?dept=137&gclid=CM3Vs-Xci5oCFQZlswodEF3lGQ).

The look of the keyboard listed by the OP is super cool. It dosen't have to have all the features talked about in the concept, just a standard keybord with that look would be good enough for me.

Really? Why are you drinking wine around keyboards? I'm also wondering if the wine is a contributing factor towards the spilling. Either way, that is by far the classiest way to ruin a keyboard, so kudos.
