Poll: Where Will You Go First??

Let's say the game has launched and you have your ship. Where is the first place that you are going to explore or conqure if you are Klingon? Will it be the Brier Patch, the Nebule in Rath of Kahn, perhaps a planet like Vulcan, or the half blown up moon of Qo'nos (Kronos)? Mabey it's just, "Second star to the right and stright on untill morning?" Personally I would love to see a starfleet musuem where I could explore a NX-01, or see other starfleet historical displays. But since that proably won't be in I want to go to Vulcan and explore the temple where Spock was reanimated.

First thing i'll do is do some missions so I can get a decent ship with a cloaking device. Then I'll go to neutral zone and find some feddies to blow up.

Depending where we start. One of the first places I would explore, is the Sol System. After that, head to Vulcan and take a look around. Then from there, make my way to DS9. :D

Well, since the character's story I'm writing involves it originating from the Delta Quadrant, that would be my goal is to end up their eventually. I think I'd like to explore some of the lore on my way up to that stage, though, like Earth/Sol, Vulcan, Andoria, Risa, Orion, DS9, etc.

The first thing i'll do is to look for some planet with a primitive civilization on it. pre-warp and protected by the prime directive.

then i'll phaser "Mouse was here" into its moon

then maybe I'll go visit betazed

I'll try to have a walk arround in starfleet academy. Then i'd try to check all skins of the sol-systems planets, befor i'll go to vulcan and marry a vulcan female :p Then we both will explore what science is good for.

If it had a name, and I would know where it is... well, that would not be real exploring, right? In order to be a true explorer you first have to learn how to get lost.

I think first i will do some missions and get a general feel for the game . Go visit Vulcan, Earth, Risa. Upgrade my ship a bit and then start exploring the Galaxy.

and this wisdom, if it is actually there, helps to answer questions questions like "where is the most important place to know about when you go somewhere for the first time"

I plan to visit the homeworlds of multiple fed races to see what they are like then I plan to set course as far away from sector 001 as I can get before something blows me up.

How do you guys think we will be able to tell our helmsman where to go? Will it be by a drop down menu? Does a mini map pop up and you choose/click where to go? Do you have to type in the coords to plot a course? Or will it be mission centric, and only be able to go where ever our mission tells/allows us to go?

Personaly, I think it will be by system via pop up map. Once you go to warp, and arrive in the system, then you choose the actual planet to go to. Something like that.

Then I want to map my path to build an awesome ship for long range discovery. I am going to be exloring deep space on a two year mission. Obviously I am going to need a top of the line ship and top of the line crew, upgrades, and supplies. Unless a diffrent ship is presented I am bringing an NX-91001. I'd like to bring a friend in an upgraded Akira, an Intrepid class, and a Galaxy class.

Given what I've been reading in the stories leading up to the year when this game takes place, I'll be playing as a Klingon and will be making a bee line for the gorn. That or get together with a few other klingons and see how close we can get to earth :D

well, the nebula from Khan was used to make the Genesis planet, so not there, and the blown up moon, do you mean Praxis?

Yes Praxis, the moon of Qo'nos like I stated in my post. Just couldn't remember the name ty for that. Also... I thought that after the genesis planet blew up there was a cloud mass forming? If memery serves. So I don't know if it was a nuebla or not. Still would be intresting to see the spot of the epic Kirck, Khan space battle. Don't you think?
