So if any of us are captured by, say other races, I wonder how that would pander out. As a PC, would you have to wait for NPC's to rescue you while you bear with interrogation or things like that?

Will I be able to say that there are four lights? :D

there will probarly episode that you play were this happens ofc if your grouped you will have 4 of you friends to find a way out.

if you solo you got your bridge crew to help you find away out.

I'm hoping being captured is how they will handle "death" in some situations. Like if your on an away mission infiltrating/attacking an enemy base and your killed. Instead of waking up in your ships sick bay or something you should wake up in the enemy brig. And then you have to find away out.

I haven't played AoC but I've heard it used some sort of imprisonment system?

Now one of the few linear games I've played where you can get 'jail' time so to speak translated into what would translate into a loading screen saying how long you were held. If this were to happen for STO I would imagine it being something like that. How much "fun" that mechanic would be considered to the masses though is the question I imagine the Cryptic crew would have to kick around. But there are plenty of examples of being captured in Star Trek. I would at the very least expect some episodic content based around escaping a capture.

Too griefable. I would just go to a n00bie and capture him forever. :P

Cryptic did this with some of their missions in CoX, so they could be planning something similar.

Too griefable. I would just go to a n00bie and capture him forever. :P

Obviously players wouldn't be able to capture other players.

Several RPG MP maps for EFII had places you could lock other players into... I think they may be all player made

the funniest one was is a holding area in a shuttle where you can spam the action button over and over until you work your escape. Another is an area where you are locked in with a nearly undefeatable monster. Yet those who held you also had a large monster killing gun to help you. I've role played on a few of these, but we could always "escape" by relaunching the game if we were feeling any grief.
