View Full Version : Away Team NPC morale?

Hi,

Couldn't find a thread on this, apologies if it's a beaten dead horse.

I believe I read that away teams can be either PC teams or a PC captain and his NPC henchman. If the latter case, is there a role for morale, i.e. if the building looks really scary, would the PC have a leadership value and the NPCs a bravery value to test against to get the NPCs to go in ("keep it together man, you're an officer!"), or if a firefight breaks out to get them to raise their heads and fire. It could be a useful thing to make scenarios easier with PCs, encouraging more socialization, also helping limit which scenarios a player can approach with an NPC team (until s/he has the appropriate command stature). Also something that could be an upgradeable item for the player and the crew. Also, crew members who usually have unrelated science duties dragged along because they know a lot about the mineral your looking for might not be as brave as the security officer with the phaser...that sort of stuff.

Just a thought,
