Oh yes, I expect to meet many famous people such as the Doctor from Voy. I also hope iwith time travel missions we can meet Archer or Kirk.

It would make sense. And it would open up some good story/plot lines for the game. Moving through time is part of Star Trek and hopefully will be part of the game as well.

If they add these famous people into the game I want to be able to capture them!

In one of the interviews they confirmed that time travel will play a part in the game (with no mention of the holodeck in that statement). It will most likely be part of a scripted episode mission. They did say during time travel mission(s) we will be able to encounter some of the classic ships from the TOS era.


As for famous characters... In one interview (or was it one of the Ask Cryptic's), they mentioned that they approached some of the actors regarding voice over work, but couldn't say whether which actors or whether or not they were actually able to get them signed on for the game. They also said that since the game is being set 30 years after Star Trek: Nemesis, in 2409, many of the famous characters will have retired, or passed away, so that may be why some characters will be absent from the game, but then at the same time we may run into some of the children or relatives of famous characters.

This makes some sense, but made me instantly think of the younger characters, such as Wesley, Jake Sisko, Nog, Alexander, even Molly O'brien. Those characters would be in prime age range for appearances, having grown up and in their 20s or 30s.

Personally, I hope we run into a lot of the famous characters, in actual time travel missions (rather than a simulation of them in a holodeck), and would be perfectly happy if it was a voice actor with a similar sounding voice doing an impersonation of the famous character. It has worked well in some other games based on movies where the original actors were unable or unwilling to do voice work.

Do you think that they would even go as far as developing a mini-game within the main game and disguise it as being in the holodeck of your own ship?

Think about it, practice battles, away team missions, reenactments of famous battles like Kirk vs Kahn, Wolf 359, the Founders ambushing of the Romulan and Cardassian fleets....it would definitely be interesting.
