what i mean is do we have to sign up for it or what i have been hearing rumor on other games that the beta testing for people to sign up is closed

i have read that thread already and insteed of making me looking stupid you should read it to . it is for people who are already signed up for it or who are going to get in on beta and it is telling them the rules of beta that your not playing the game you are finding bugs and glitches and stuff like that it does not say anything about how to sign up for beta

You can't sign for beta because there is no beta yet, no open or closed beta.

Okay he is new-ish, so here it goes. Spots in the closed beta are revserved for winners of these contests, and I am not sure that they need anymore so they are over. Open beta would be in the summer (from what I have heard and are most likely not entirely reliable sources, other players). Closed betas are generally elite in their positions. I have participated in a few closed betas, but I have yet to truely try to get into STO so I dont ruin the game for my self. Also I am not the type who knows everything. I enjoy star trek, but I am not a true Trekkie, and I wish I was:D Back to the point. If they will start more Closed Beta applicant searching, they will appear in the form of news bullets on the front page of the website (maybe another game of the sorts), or in a thread posted by a Cryptic member like Awen:D
