I wonder, a lighter part of the game, will any mini-games and or events be part of the game? I know you could say Holodeck, but... it just doesn't have the same sound or feel to it.
Perhaps even something similar to the race that the Delta Flyer participated in.

Heh I'm pretty sure that starship races will spring up unofficially very quickly, but as for "legit" races,I doubt we'll see those at launch - still, I'm all for the chance to pit myself against another crew!

This may appeal to the Orions or other non-Federation faction, but would be looked upon negatively by the Federation...and certainly Starfleet personnel would not be allowed to participate {except perhaps in some undercover operation to dissolve the matches}.

Oh come now - even the Starship Enterprise participated in a race! (See "The Great Starship Race") I'd hardly think the Federation wouldn't condone the races as a form of therapy or group de-stress...

Although that could be fun...have your character participate in battles inside your own ship, 3rd-person control like WoW.
Maybe that's more for the Klingon side...

No problem...there is nothing wrong with a general martial arts competition. Just how Tsunkatse was portrayed would be illegal. As for a ship race that is another matter...and would not see anything wrong with it in good fun. But my first reply was a response to Tsunkatse (the first part of your post and thread title), but was not specific and did not reply to the ship racing. I would expect to see all sorts of civilian (and possible military) sports as long as they do not exploit its participant...which Tsunkatse did.
