Can I park my runabout in my friends shuttle bay to escape imminent death from a Borg attack?

That would be cool.

But only on large ships and station. Shuttles bays on most ships are too small.

That would be cool, but if that was your escape method, that would be even sweeter. Or to even us shuttles as support craft, kinda like another attack ability.

I don't think they're going to put in any benefit to surviving your starship getting destroyed. You'll probably miraculously escape every time on an escape pod to the nearest starbase when your ship gets blown up.

I doubt that escaping on yoru runabout would do anything significantly different.

lol maybe have something like Star Trek 5, where the shuttle had to get in the bay before the klingon attack.
