Cryptic has said they have a few good ideas for Borg as a playable race. So its possible probaly in an expansion pack later after launch.

I can't see how they could, the very concept of the Borg negates the possibility of them as a playable race, at least as individuals. I will be very interested to see how they get around it.
Nothing has been explicitly said that I know of.

agreed - I'm not sure how it could work as individuals. unless they were rouge borg or "freed" borg like Seven. but other than that, I mean, what makes the borg scary is the lack of individuality - the collective mind....
I'd also be interested to see how they make that work out.

easy... you log on and watch the AI control your character and do whatever Borg do...

Quite simple to bring a story line similar to that of the "DeathKnight" for World of Warcraft, but in Star Trek terms, from Voyager season 6-7 episodes "Unimatrix Zero" you could play a liberated borg drone.

It could be interesting, bu Cryptic to my knowledge hasn't said to much about it.
