Saw them earlier.
The trails that some people (not me) had/have a big problem with look like they make sense on those pics, sorta like exhaust gasses or something

Still wish they'd tell us what that third ship is.

Hopefully asteroids will add aspects to the game, ex: cover from fire, cover from sensors (hopefully they'll be a silent running mode).
It will be cool to see what they do with that.

I think they show a lot of asteroid pictures because of the detail levels to be seen in the asteroids... compare that to what you can see in other space games (SFCIII for example)... these Cryptic asteroids look fantastic and makes me question whether my rig can handle it without imminent explosion.

you can see the trailer at www.startrekonline.com but at sto-center can you see the pics and klick on the pic to Enlarge and right mouse button to save ;)

Well one thing I hope that they add is that you can hide behind them. Eg. When a ship hides behind a planet, there is an interception of the Radar (what ever it is), so it would make sense that if an asteroid was big enough you could hide behind it. Since this game appears like it will be more of an intense statistic battle system, kinda like a RTS, however you have one ship, and the graphics are amazing!!
I cant wait to see what the Cryptic Oven Bakes:D
