I may be crazy, but I want to see some new ship designs for the other major races soon.

For one i have never liked that re-use of the Klingon Bird of Prey as TWO klingon ships of different sizes. The 12 man ship in Star Trek: Search for Spock, and then re-used infinintely from then on to represent several, larger cruisers for the Klingons.

It was done to save money, not to make sense. I like it better when things make sense.

It's a great ship model, no doubt, but we can afford to see new ship hulls now, and only see one Bird of Prey.

That is assuming that exact ship hull will still be in use in the game's time setting. It might even be worthwhile to make a new Bird of Prey design.

I think it's safe to say that if we see the Miranda class (see the new screenies) being used in this timeframe (albeit modified) then we'll see some variations on the BoP. Also, there are several Romulan and Klingon ships to pull design influences from, just look at the Vor'Cha and Warbird.

And from the screenie of the Klingon ship recently posted, I'd say that they're going to design the full spectrum of ships, both that we have seen, plus new designs that we might not be so familiar with.

I'm confident that we'll get a decent variety of ships both from a design standpoint and with a view to functionality/purpose.

I am eagerly awaiting Klingon and Rihannsu ships
Particularly the Romulan ones.
I can't wait to see what direction their ships have taken in STO

The Valdore is almost guaranteed. It is one of only seven Romulan ships ever seen in any show, compared to how many different Federation ships from DS9 alone?

1. BoP from Enterprise
2. BoP from the original series
3. Romulan D'deridex from TNG
4. Romulan scoutship from TNG (complete with nosecone kitbashed from a Boeing 747 model)
5. Romulan scoutship2 (new nose)
6. Romulan Valdore
7. Romulan/Reman Scimitar (though this may be a one-off, and is probabably too over the top for it's own good)
