Not sure if this has been brought up before, I'm sure it has, but I'm too lazy to look it up. (sorry).
Okay, maybe this is silly, but it would be nice to be able to beam over to (pick members ship: insert here), for a "poker night", inbetween missions, and a fun mini-game while in-game. You could have a few StarFleet (or Klingon) Ships (depending on your faction) parked in orbit around X planet, or Y starbase, where you could just beam over and play some poker for the evening.
Nothing special really, but it would be like a common-area where other players could hook-up for missions, or b.s. about other stuff. Maybe show-off or compare trophies or ribbons for achievements, etc.
You could also have special in-game rewards that could give you special "collectors cards" that you could use on your poker night. Once you collect a whole deck, maybe that could in turn imbue you with other special abilities. Like if you were to collect the whole "Kirk Deck", you could get the "Space Cowboy" ability which enhances your abilities during combat, or if you get thet "Picard Deck", you get additional diplomacy skills, (or special dialogue options during quests maybe?)
Just some thoughts. I think it could be used as a tool to bring the people together socially, by giving them a way to hang-out with each other online. And it would also be another great way to forge friendships, etc.
