Boarding ships

A thought occured to me when whatching the STO again and looking at the bit where there are klingons fighting federation on the bridge of a star fleet vessl.

I bealive we will be able to do this on PVP but why not in game too and possible even capture, sabotarge or download data or tech from an enemy vessle as it has been done in the books and the tv sereies.

because then you could steal another players ship and lord it over them, someppl would not be able to handle this. Myself I welcome the challenge Klingon ! ;)

Also it would be upsetting to see your AV get slaughtered in his own bridge, no :S

Has it been said that we can't do it in PVP? I think its been said that we can't capture another player's ship but has boarding parties been mentioned?

I'd love to lead sabotage team to the engine room or to repel boarding parties.

It would also add to the customization if they allowed you to upgrade and customize your ship's security. Things like equipment and behavior, that way if you didn't want to lead the security team yourself because you were still in battle you wouldn't be defenseless.

Boarding ships would be awesome. It will be hard to control your ship and fight off boarding parties and also launch boarding parties of your own. Maybe we control one and the computer controls the others but we are able to switch at will?? Interesting idea

Oh well if it is not possible to capture other ships the never mind, I did think it would be an intreasting concept also i was htincking if a players ship did get captured then perhaps it would respon and may be you could use the captured ship like a trojion horse perhaps.

I would ceranly relish the concept of leading bording to other ships.
