who will be Federation and why

havent decided who among my army of characters will command my ship. but the main reason i want to be federation is also going to me my main goal

i want an ambassador class ship! i've always loved the look of those. i don't care if they have been taken out of service, i'll take out a ship graveyard if i have to.

For me,I like the ships of the Federation.
The bridge of a Starfleet vessel has an atmosphere that I find irrestiable.
I like the goals of the Federation,and the diplomatic policies they value.
I might not win in a fight with the Romulans,but I can talk my way out of one.

I will be Federation, because I know more about them, then I do about klingons. I do not know much about TOS and TNG. My aera started with DS9, and Klingons weren't such a great topic from that time on.

Still, once the Dominion addon is out, you will find me fighting alongside the Cardassians, whatever path they might have chosen..

im torn between both klingon and federation, i just love the majestic lines of federation starships. Klingon vessels always came across as a bit ugly. No athestics at all.

but still nothing beats being cloaked and awaiting for that ultimate kill.

I'll be going federation because I want to re-enact the movies/episodes and get a feel for what the character's experienced and lived through. Also I just love the look of the Federation and her ships and love all their ideals and beliefs. I see the Klingons as the pirates of the galaxy, raiding and pillaging and fighting between the houses. The Federation is like the established order of all that is good and just :)

I'll be proud to be part of her fleet!

There should be. The NPC Jem'Hadar should be ramming us if they have to or deem its necessary. They are genetically created and can be recreated just as easy as the next soldier.

I would also hope all dominion ships are eventually available. Make it one of the ships that it takes a guild to build...with lots of time and resources. I'm sure I'm not the only one that will take the time to and effort to get it built.

My main will be in the Federation because Starfleet and the Federation best comport to my own psychology. However, if allowed I will make alts of other factions to better understand them and their strenghts and weaknesses.

I like Starfleet ship designs mostly, I can't wait to get a Galaxy-class starship. Though I do plan on trying out the Klingon side for a while, can't resist a chance to get a Bird of Prey. I can't wait to try out the Romulans too once the expansion are released, I'd love to get my hands on a Warbird.

I would have played Federation, had the Miranda class been in. I still may make up a Fed for the chance to command a Defiant class ship (assuming we can have characters from opposing factions).

I'll be playing Fed. because all the shows were from that point of view. So, playing Fed. should feel more like Star Trek. Also, I want to focus on exploration and stuff over combat. I'll check out the Klingons as well, but my main will be Fed.

Simple answer for me heh, Fed is just more how I'd play, I love their ships and hope to have something similar to the Luna class *even if it is just book canon* and I'd like to make a caitian. Also friends will be Fed so my decision was sorta made for me a while ago heh. Not that I won't try the other side as alts though probably.

Sad reality of MMOs. In Warcraft they had to add Blood Elves to the unpopular Horde faction in order to balance the player population out. In the process they completely changed the Elves story and philosophy in order to make it work.

Anyway back on topic - I'm playing as a Fed captain because I've always loved the ships. I used to make little lego models of Fed ships as a kid and play with them. So naturally as an adult I get to play with a more realistic version. :D

I'll likely have a Klingon captain as well but I have a feeling I'll be playing as the Feds more.

No, Ive always been a fan of the Federation, even when my friends and I would play when we were younger I was always a Starfleet officer and the lure of commanding an Intrepid Class is too overwhelming to make me even think of touching a Bird of Prey.
