I was wondering if we could play as the jem'hadar, coes i think their really cool, they also have really nice ships. But I think they'll only come out in an expansion with the romulans and cardassians -_- lol

As has been said, the possibilities with the custom species tool seem to be pretty open ended, so the chances are good you'll be able to create something that looks like them.

The reality is that if they put every species in at launch there'd be nothing for them to add in with expansions. Besides any Jem'Hadar in Starfleet or the Klingon Empire would be a "one off" - a unique individual.

Although I cannot wait to play a Jem'Hadar, personally I am glad that the developers decided to wait to implement them because otherwise they would need to be a member of the Federation or the Klingon Empire, which I just don't see happening - ever.

It could be possible. With the way DS9 ended, who knows what events have unfolded since.

Odo went back to the founders to rejoin the great link. Perhaps he was able to convince them that the Federation was nothing for them to fear/pursue hostilities with.

Was the Jem'Hadar dependence on Ketrecel-White ever resolved? I would think this would remain a deterrent even in the current age, since the Founders would certainly do everything they could to destroy any Federation research into creating Jem'Hadar free of 'the White' - and since the Founders' reach extended all the way to Earth via their shapechanging abilities, I would imagine there wouldn't be much the Federation could do to stop them from infiltrating labs trying to create the cure.

Well in one of the DS9 episodes there is a Jem'hadar that doesn't take the ketrecel-white and is more 'controled lol" and Doctor Bashir was trying to find a cure for the ketrecel addiction. At the end he "probly" found the cure but O'Brian destroyed it because he didn't trust them.

So I could see us being able to play as the jem'hadar faction but in a later expantion, i mean it would be nice if we could on opening day but i doubt it.

Oh okay, so that means we'll be able to be the changelings, vorta and jem'hadar, thats awesome, I wonder how the changelings will be like :P
