Q: Which is cooler: monkeys, robots, pirates, or ninjas?

Yarrrrrgh!

If there isn't a more telling sign that she's cool, I don't know what is... Nice to meet you Nicole!

Hi Awen, nice to meet you and welcome to the forums :)

I hate to be the one to point this out but Betazoid's are Empaths, not Telepaths. This means that they don't read minds. They are actually very sensitive to emotions as opposed to sensing actual thought....iirc...

Actually, I believe that full Betazoid's are Telepaths. From my understanding and I could be entirely wrong, Deanna was only half Betazoid, therefore she was only empathic. I'll have to do more research on this one. :)

From the Betazoid (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Betazoid) article on Memory Alpha

Inter-species reproduction involving Betazoids often affects the psionic abilities of the offspring - most commonly the children of such a union develop empathic abilities as their primary psionic talent, while their telepathic abilities, though existing, are rather below average for Betazoids. Usually the telepathy of these half-breeds, without extensive training, is limited to communication with other empaths or telepaths and full telepathic contact with emotionally very close persons (for example, an imzadi).

Welcome aboard Awen.

I think you have made many fans by out nerding the STO community. This is exactly what WE look for in a community rep!

I saw James Doohan at a convention in Toronto, back when ST:TNG was still in production :)

It happened to be before the airing of the episode 'Relics'. John DeLancie was also there, I'd seen him in the lobby (Q was the best recurring character, Whoopie Goldberg's Guinan was a close second :)), though I never got to see him onstage, unlike Mr. Scotty.

I really enjoyed watching Mr. Doohan onstage, he certainly was insightful and funny.

He had talked about how Mr. Scotty could have turned out had he'd not been Scottish at all, including a pirate version of the character.

So it's a nice little coincidence that you mentioned Scotty and pirates:D

I bet you could trade a Choco chip for a place at Quarks Bar.. forum
Vic Fontains show is pretty good..
You can lead a Crusher to a forum But only Scotty can fix the warp drive
Guinan was nice.. maybe you could put in a good word with DEv for nice reacuring NPCs
"but only nixon could go to china"

ummm no your wrong betazoids are telepaths deana troi was half betazoid so she was only able to direct communicate with betazoids or a human that she was incredibly close to like riker. otherwise she was only able to read enough of someones thoughts to be considered empathic

Here is a gift to all the star trek fans out there that did not know about this new project. www.startrekofgodsandmen.com This is a low budget movie directed by Tim Russ who also played Tuvok. Considering that it is a low budget movie I found it very good. I don't want to spoil anything but you are going to find a lot of familiar characters in this movie. It is about one hour a thirty minutes long. Like I said, it is a low budget movie but it was done nicely. I am a big Star Trek fan and I have to be honest that I loved it.

Again the website is www.startrekofgodsandmen.com

\\// Greetings \\//

I am pleased to meet you. Welcome aboard.

I am Soval; the fourth generations of Soval's. I am Half Romulan/Vulcan. Prime Minister, Chief-Ambassador of Starfleet Canada,

I also am the Head of Diplomatic Relations & Trade. Chief of Eastern Time & XBOX 360 areas of activity. I was born in 2281 secretly and my parents were also seeing each other in secret. I have worked for the United Federation of Planets as a Spy for Starfleet Intelligence just after graduation from Starfleet Academy. I had 4 Academy instructors; the SFA Commander, Captain Kirk, Sulu and Commander Chekov.

After that... I join the ST on-line community and fleets/clans. I was in UBF and I founded my own fleet called UFDF after that. I also believe that all fleets is part of the UFP in some way. I retired 6 years ago. Now, I am back with a new fleet and the NEW highly anticipated Star Trek ON-LINE game for XBOX 360 and PC DVD-ROM.

i look forward in playing it.

Take care,
