Space Creatures?

I didn't see this elsewhere, but is there any word on space creatures like the Crystalline Entity, the Far Point Station Creatures, Doomsday Machine, Pitcher Plant Wormholes etc...?

I wouldn't mind having to dance the tango with one of these.

I am sure at least some of those will make it into the game. Other things can be added through patches and expansions. There is a lot of room to grow with this kind of mythology.

as per the game informer article you will definitely be able to encounter the doomsday machine and v'ger.

except that from what i remember, since the doods family was round when the timeline got corrected, he never built the ship.

It would be foolish of them to not add Space Creatures maybe we won't see all the ones from the shows/moives, but it is an area where they can create their own creatures.

i think tribble infestations should be a random and inconvieniant occurance

i also think some space creatues would be nice

like teh ones that thought voyasger was some kind of mateing competition :confused:

create five solutions to the problem. then not realease any to the players

(people would be angry if they got stuck in a creature nebulae for three days)

Id like to see lots of planets with different types of life procedurally generated. Some worlds with only planets some with giant stone throwing spears.

I am so glad to hear that space creatures will be in the game! I really hope that there is a mission or maybe even a series of missions based around the Doomsday Machine because I think that it is a relatively iconic part of Star Trek and I've love to see how players would react to such a situation.

i just hope we don't run into those space creatures from voyager that dry hump ships into death. who's gonna clean up that mess? the guys who clean the holodecks are busy. same with the hazmat team that cleans up after rikers done with the holodeck... :rolleyes:

How about a nice little blood sucking cloud that can warp away from planets and infiltrate your ship. If memory serves killing the thing off was a real challenge. Phasers didn't affect it, torpedoes just p!ssed it off and it went through crew members like a hot knife through butter. On second thought, as cool as I think it would be...it was a might overpowered, but then again if you're facing down the throat of the planet-killer (Doomsday machine), why not throw in the cloud?
