You say how you can "invent your own ship"(within some set parameters). But I was wondering, will I we be able to use the original ships or oters from the series. Like "Intrepid class", or "Nebula class", & I can't forget the "Galaxy class"? Also can we own more than one ship at a time?

welcome to the forums.
you are welcome to search the topic, you will find lots of info.
however, the short answer is, yes, but they will be varients of those classes, as this game takes place at nemesis +30 years. you won't be able to create ships, but you will be able to customize components, colors, and whatnot, we don't know whats set in stone yet.

welcome
from what we know ALL (or at least most of the TNG era ships will be in
there will be some new ships
and there has been speculation u will see (but not captian) TOS era ships in a few missions
you will be able to customize/ modd your ships, but not so much that u could turn a defiant into a sovereign
as far as "owning" more than 1 ship, no definnate answer, but i would be surprised if u could. In star trek u dont "own" ur ship you are assigned a tour of duty onboard one. so logically you would only be assigned to 1 ship at a time.
if you want more than one ship, i suggest you make an ALT

Personally, I would not mind it if players were allowed to have one main ship and perhaps a second vessel for certain tasks, but in general I think that it is best if players have limited accessibility to different types of ships because otherwise they would just be picking the best ship for each mission that they are assigned.

the simple solution would be to ask how many captains in the lore have more than one ship?
of course cryptic may not follow this, but i see no rational plus of having two ships except for people wanting more than one. thats not good enough for me. i mean, i would love to have more than one ship, but really don't know how or what i would do with the back and forth besides feeling giddy that i have two ships.
when design decisions are made on giddiness, well, who knows what goes down.

All of them.
