There was a Voyager episode similiar to what your asking, except it was a Caradasian doctor. I think the closest thing STO will have to a criminal syndicate are pirates; and I don't they will be including any IMO.

Which makes me wonder whether Cardassia would be added to the Klingon side as well. With Bajor in the Federation that somehow makes sense.



As for psychopathic Vulcans... I'm sure we'll see more than our share of psychopathic, illogical, emotion-driven Vulcans. Everyone, after all, wants to be different and what's more different than being the exact opposite of what the setting says a race is like.

(That's right, actually following what the setting says as nobody does that :p )

I don't know if something like this will actually be able to happen in game terms, but I am sure that you will find much stranger occurrences than this if you roleplay in Star Trek Online.

Ummm... Actually he described the exact plot of the Deep Space Nine episode "Field of Fire" where a Vulcan experiences trauma during the Dominion War and kills people with a lead-bullet sniper rifle that can beam bullets through walls.

It was a really cool episode, you should really check it out. Watch something other than Voyager for a change (yes, I watch more than DS9, I'm about to watch the first season of TNG, and I borrowed a Voyager DVD from a friend after I finish watching DS9 one more time.)

It should be noted that the Cardassian doctor you speak of was a "Josef Mengele"-type guy who did horrible medical experiments on Bajorans during the occupation. It isn't really all that similar at all.

First off. Your name and avatar matches you completely.

I hope that STO will allow this kind of freedom. However, I heavily doubt that it will and it seems like it might be pretty tied down to factions.
