I doubt it, unless you were born and raised in San Francisco.

I doubt very seriously that they will have Google maps integrated into the game system to allow us to visit multiple polygons that are suppose to resemeble our towns/cities/villiages of every location on the planet.
Would be cool to visit this one place I have in mind and walk into the palace grounds of this one place only to t-bag the short little freak with glasses that can see the future. I won't say where, to disguise my predjudices of certain alien-in-nature, genocidal maniacs.

Well, Broken Bow, Oklahoma had the first Klingon sighting (if I recall correctly). This could be a historical marker of some sort!!! That way the Federation has a way to bow down to the Klingons daily when we are defending the universe from the Borg.

If Oklahoma is in this game in any way shape or form, I think the game designers have too much time on their hands.
Personally, I'd rather see their time spent developing new and exciting alien worlds for us to explore than fleshing out a place like "25th century Earth." Access to San Francisco is a must (there have been plenty of locations there suggested and explored in every series from TNG to ENT to throw in as fun Earth easter eggs), and I hope to see Starfleet Command, Starfleet Academy, and a couple of other neat or referential areas open for exploration. I wouldn't mind seeing Paris either, since that is where the Federation's president makes office. I suppose you could throw in the Café des Artistes if you wanted to go hog wild.
Other than that, Earth doesn't need much fleshing out. In fact, I would prefer that more time be spent on Earth Spacedock, Earth Station McKinley, and other locations in the Sol System (like Jupiter Station or Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards) than on Earth itself. This is Star Trek, after all, not "25th Century Earth: The Simulator."

No offense to Okies intended. I've been there more than once, and while I'm sure your beans and bread are very exciting, there isn't a whole lot to do with Star Trek out there.
And please, I don't appreciate being called a "yank" by someone who lives due north of me. I wouldn't want my beloved home state depicted in this game anymore than I would Oklahoma.

HAHAHA! Just like a texan. Get yer drawers all bunched up about someone wantin to see the "Great Plains". Why back in the day.........
Seriously, I do understand what you are saying though. I don't care much about seeing anything on Earth (in-game), but the moon wouldn't be bad.

Darn tootin'.

That's something else I definitely wouldn't mind seeing in the Sol System. A place like the colonies on Luna would allow Cryptic to flex their creative muscles a bit more than other, more-established Sol System locales. I've wanted to see what the 24th (or 25th) century moon looked like since Riker described it to Zefram Cochrane in First Contact. It'd be fun to check out the (domed?) Lake Armstrong, or see what the Orpheus Mining Colony as seen in ENT's "Demons" looks like a couple hundred years later.

Places that would make sense to be featured on earth
1. Paris Capitol of united earth and the UFP
2. San Fransisco (i hate spelling that) for starfleet academy
3. Montana, where zephram cochrane created the 1st warp drive, and our 1st official contact with an alien race (vulcan's)
other places prolly aren't as important

They should just give us Vegas. I figure they'd have Casinos of everywhere on the planet anyways :D .

I'm going to say NO. Just impossible. As much as I'd like to visit my 2409 area that's stupidly unrealistic.
My bet is we'll just get San Fransisco and probably only the Academy at that. We'll have a great view of the Golden Gate though. :)

Heck I'm not sure we'll even get San Fransisco. They might just start us in that gigantic Starbase that's been in orbit of Earth since TOS. It would make more sense.

The last thing we need is San Fransisco.

actually, i think that starbases construction started soon after NX-01 enterprise was launched, or even before it was launched
anyone notice that almost all the shipyards in all shows look exactl the same?

more a representation of production values than star trek cannon i might pontificate.

Honestly, with how vast the Star Trek universe is I don't know how much I'd really want to visit places that are familiar to me in real life, but assuming Earth will be a part of the game it might be nice to see certain well-recognized landmarks, if only for the novelty factor.

They did already mentioned that we get to see starfleet academy and the like. I rather them go more in details with game content then spending too much time on earth. I do expect the Point of Interest on earth to be detailed but beyond that move to the next planet etc...

I would like to see the penal colony on New Zealand lol... Is weird how they never decided to make Australia the penal colony though... what’s so great about Australia? Gosh!
Btw I am a kiwi :)

It's actually a decent place. Smells a LOT better than New York aka Garbage Dump. :P

My guess, other than Starfleet Command, you could visit the Federation's Predidential Office in Paris. (Which to me is a definite possibility).
And I wouldn't rule out the New Zealand Penal Colony and perhaps the Phoenix's launch site in Montana and see Cochrane's statue.

Here is my take on it, they willl have all the starting spots..star fleet academy ect.. AND
any spots that they deside to put in for use in missions.
so, maybe part of newyork or paris is in there..because they are mission sites..who knows?

I'd actually rather see a complete explorable future Earth than ten bazillion alien worlds. There can be X number of Alien worlds, but there's only one Earth. Cryptic could always add alien worlds in the future, but Earth is a must-finish-planet.
It doesn't make sense to be restricted to the academy when the bridge to the east bay is right in front of you. I have to admit though, I was born in England and raised in San Francisco. As much as I'd like to see SF in a Star Trek game world, I think it would be cool to hang out in Europe too. It would be like a vacation without thousand dollar flight fees.

I very much doubt they would make places free roam, they already have to create a lot of game content for space which is vast (ok mostly 'empty' but still).
Like Father_Origin said certain missions while you're in the academy or in Montana around Cochran's statue would be feasible, visiting SF Command likely. With most you would just beam inside the structure anyway, so they would just have to make a nice exterior view and could concentrate more on game play.
A mission in the gardens of the academy would be nice though.
