Q, are being included like the original star wars Jedi's are a reward for playability. After mastering x-amount of missions, gaining full rank and after completing a secret unlockable, you too can play Q!

Uh... I think the comparison between Jedi and Q is kinda off... Because Q are littererally omnipotent, while the Jedi are not.
Also, having omnipotent players in the game would probably kinda destroy the game for everyone else, since only one Q would need to have a bad day, and decide to delete the universe. :|

I agree, but for a slightly different reason. The Q are a plot device (same with the Borg), while the Jedi are characters. A better - though still imperfect - Star Wars analogy would be The Emperor. If anyone could play The Emperor in Star Wars, they'd either ruin the game or be completely bored; they couldn't be allowed to do anything the Emperor should be able to do.

That said, I expect to see tons of people playing "Q pretending to be human" and " escaped Borg" characters.

I think that members of the Q-Continuum are just a little bit different and I cannot imagine the logistical nightmare the developers would have if they actually wanted to allow players to be able to Q-like beings.

In other news, it is rumored the dev's are Qs in disguise and GMs are mini-Qs. :D
