Ok, we heard that we could board enemy ships but not take them. We heard we can destory other players ships. What I want to know is how do you get back to the ship you once had that was destoried. DO you just click on summoning and poof, there is the ship, or do you need to work back up from when you first started working on getting a ship?

Unless you find somebody with a mysterious inside source, you're not going to find any answers that aren't already answered in the FAQs or the 'ask a dev' sessions.

No. What I mean is if Iose what appears to be a refit soverign class ship. Do I go back to working from the lil smaller ships, or do I just get back aboard my refitted Soverign?

trunksmad, no one here can give you a definite answer to your question. That information has not been released by the devs yet. Anything said would just be speculation.

I don't think that it will take too much effort to get your ship back after it has been destroyed or badly damaged, but I hope that it will be slightly more involved than simply clicking a button or something like that.

THIS IS A GUESS
Assumption #1
My assumption is that ships taken in combat will have significantly reduced abilities, because your Federation engineer would have trouble getting a Klingon ship to work properly, but mostly for game mechanics, to keep a large fleet from ambushing large NPC ships (assuming there will be some) in a swarm and gaining a gameplay advantage solely through group size.
This way would allow one to gain the spoils of war for sale or whatever, but not utilize it as a gameplay advantage too early.
Assumption #2
Boarding will be a tactic, send aboard a party to take out a system, weapons, engines or the command staff itself, but taking complete posession of a ship will be impossible because of command codes and failsafes built into the systems on vessels.
I heard (but cannot recall if it was an earlier companies statement) that when you "die" and your ship is "destroyed" you and your battered hull are towed to a spacedock by starfleet and pay some kind of penalty or something. This would prevent the ship from being captured.
Its all guesses at the moment, but sometimes its fun to guess.

I read or heard that as your ship gets destroyed you end up in a escape pod.
what happens after that don't know they never said.
so anyones guess is as good as mine.
do you get your basic ship back with no add ons???
do yo get demoted and get a reduced class of ship as punishment for losing your ship??
or poof your right back in the same ship you had after a time out reset???
