On Thursday, November 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST, we will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Cryptic Account system.
During this time you will not be able to create any new accounts on any Cryptic web site; this would include the Champions Online (http://www.champions-online.com/) and Star Trek Online (http://www.startrekonline.com/) official web sites. All forums will not be affected, and will remain available during this time.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

no inconvenience here, not much going on with STO, so its not like you guys are going to disrupt our gameplay :rolleyes:
any nice little tidbits going to be uploaded during the downtime for STO?

It just means that people can't make new forum accounts during maintenance.

yes i know this. i did read the post. I was merely pertaining to the fact that maybe some little tidbit to be thrown to us trekkers to keep us informed...
and yes. champions is going beta. so i'd hazard a guess thats what its all about

I highly doubt that this will affect Star Trek Online at all, but it would be nice to see some new information released after the downtime!

Can times be in GMT please? Not all of us live in the same time zone. Some of us don't even live in the same country. I have no idea when 10am on 6 November PST is. Right now it's 2:53pm 6 November 2008 AEST where I am (GMT +10)

yea hope they do put some more info on the game up.
think its still to early for beta release.
earlies i expect to gear there doing it late spring.

Hope this helps mate.
PST is minus eight hours from GMT. Although daylight savings screw 'round with these sites - I'm yet to find one that does an accurate, simple conversion from one time zone to another.

To boldly go no where with information that has no bearing on the final frontier.......
Razor, help with something new about the game, Time line, Beta, another trailer or screen shots or tell us How the Q with dealt with or integrated in the game answer the majority of questions asked, to tell us when the site is going to be down is an STO buzz kill!

I fear the backlash when the site comes back with nothing new. :S If something STO-related does get posted, you can colour me pleasantly surprised. :)

Well STO is doomed, the game isn't even out yet and they are already having to work on the server ;) lol
I'm surprised they even told us, actually. Just shows how responsible they are with their community by notifying them on server maintenance schedules. No matter how small the outage might be.

Would be nice if they were prepping for beta I want this game to come out soon....I think this will blow all other games away and stay that way...
